Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using NPCGo!! ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These terms apply to all users, including free, premium, and creator accounts.

2. Description of Service

NPCGo!! is an augmented reality narrative roleplaying game. Users discover AI-powered non-player characters (NPCs) at real-world locations, engage in story-driven conversations, complete missions, join factions, and unlock lore. The game experience is fictional and for entertainment purposes only.

3. Account Registration

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 13 years of age to register. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or exploit the platform.
• Harass, impersonate, or harm other users.
• Use automation, bots, or scripts to interact with NPCs or the game.
• Submit false, offensive, or harmful content through NPC interactions.
• Attempt to manipulate AI NPC systems to produce harmful output.
• Interfere with the integrity of in-game systems (XP, missions, leaderboards).

5. Real-World Safety

NPCGo!! involves physical movement to real-world locations. You are solely responsible for your own safety while playing. Always be aware of your surroundings, obey traffic laws, and never trespass on private property. NPCGo!! does not endorse or encourage unsafe behaviour in pursuit of in-game objectives.

6. Subscriptions and Payments

Premium and Elite subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis. You may cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — no refunds are issued for partial periods. All payments are processed securely via Stripe. In-app purchases are non-refundable unless required by applicable consumer law.

7. Creator Content

If you create and publish NPCs, missions, or lore as a Creator, you retain ownership of your content but grant NPCGo!! a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to display, distribute, and use that content within the platform. Creator content is subject to moderation and may be removed if it violates our guidelines.

8. Intellectual Property

All original NPCGo!! content — including UI design, fictional world lore, faction identities, and original NPC characters — is the intellectual property of NPCGo!!. You may not reproduce or redistribute this content without written permission.

9. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

NPC dialogue is generated in real-time by AI systems and is fictional in nature. It does not reflect the views, opinions, or advice of NPCGo!!. AI responses may be imperfect or inconsistent. See our AI Interaction Policy for full details.

10. Limitation of Liability

NPCGo!! is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including any harm resulting from real-world activities undertaken while playing.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently ban accounts that violate these Terms, without notice or refund. You may delete your account at any time via Settings. Upon deletion, all data associated with your account is permanently removed.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Queensland.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of NPCGo!! after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. We will notify users of material changes via in-app alert or email.
