1. Who We Are

NPCGo!! ("we", "our", "us") is an augmented reality roleplaying game that overlays a narrative fiction layer onto real-world locations. We are committed to protecting your personal information and being transparent about how we collect and use it.

2. Information We Collect

• Account Information: Email address, display name, and profile details you provide during onboarding.
• Location Data: GPS coordinates when you use the map feature, used solely to discover nearby NPCs and missions. Location is never stored persistently on our servers.
• Gameplay Data: Your progress, XP, missions completed, NPC interactions, faction membership, badges, and inventory.
• Chat Logs: Conversations you have with in-game NPCs are stored to maintain relationship continuity and context.
• Payment Information: If you subscribe or make purchases, payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We do not store your card details.
• Usage Data: General app usage patterns, feature interactions, and error logs to improve the experience.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the NPCGo!! game experience.
• To personalise your story, faction standing, and NPC relationships.
• To process payments and manage subscriptions.
• To send gameplay notifications (only if you opt in).
• To detect abuse, cheating, or misuse of the platform.
• To improve our AI models and game content (anonymised and aggregated).

4. AI and Data Processing

NPCGo!! uses large language models (LLMs) to power NPC dialogue. Your messages to NPCs are processed by third-party AI providers (including OpenAI) to generate responses. These messages may be retained by those providers subject to their own privacy policies. We do not use your chat content to train our own models without explicit consent.

5. Sharing Your Data

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

• Stripe — for payment processing.
• AI Providers — for generating NPC dialogue.
• Base44 — our underlying platform infrastructure provider.
• Legal authorities if required by law.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account and gameplay data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data is permanently removed from our systems within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@npcgo.app.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies and local storage to maintain your session and preferences. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party trackers beyond what is listed in this policy.

9. Children's Privacy

NPCGo!! is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us immediately.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Significant changes will be communicated via in-app notification or email. Continued use of NPCGo!! after changes constitutes acceptance.
